The STAR on 54th wants to give a huge thank you to the CAPS organization and the Town of Taber for coming out and having a great time at our St. Paddy’s day Steak and Shrimp Fundraiser! We were able to raise over $10,00 to bring the STAR theatre and events centre to life thanks to the support of our great community! The STAR board is humbled and gracious your support. Thank you Taber.
The latest fund raising activity hosted by TCAPS was the Steak & Shrimp night held March 18 at the Taber Civic Centre. A portion of the funds raised (just over $10,000) will be used to replenish the Crisis Fund. These are donated funds from our community and go back into supporting community members who find themselves struggling. Referrals come through the Taber/Vauxhall RCMP and the Taber Police Service. Funds are dedicated to serving victims of crime and trauma. Victim Services is pleased with this action by CAPS and will ensure that the original intent of the Crisis Fund will continue with this donation.
